Rhinoplasty, commonly referred to as a “nose job,” is a surgical procedure to reshape or resize the nose. It can be done for cosmetic reasons, to improve appearance, or for functional reasons, such as correcting breathing issues.

• Your facial growth is complete (typically after age 16)

Rhinoplasty can address:

• A bump on the bridge of the nose

• A crooked or asymmetrical nose

• A drooping, bulbous, or upturned nasal tip

• Nostrils that are too wide or too narrow

• Breathing issues caused by structural defects (like a deviated septum)

• Open rhinoplasty involves a small incision on the columella (the tissue between the nostrils), allowing better visibility.

• Closed rhinoplasty is performed with incisions inside the nose, leaving no visible scars and typically a quicker recovery.

Most patients report mild to moderate discomfort rather than pain. Swelling and congestion are common in the first week, but discomfort is usually well managed with medication.
